December 19, 2003: Where is my baby?

Veronika ate rice cereal for the first time yesterday!!! You should've seen her, she was crazy about it. The doctor had told me two weeks ago I could start giving it to her, but since she's been doing so well on just breastmilk, I figured I'll take my time. So yesterday while she was watching me eat from her high chair, she seemed quite intrigued, so I just thought: so what the heck, let's try it. Of course more than half ended on her neck and bib, but she didn't care. Once she got tired from the new accomplishment, I just put the rest in the bottle and she just about sucked it up in 2 seconds (usually she takes her time with the bottle, because she doesn't consider it as something serious like the breast).
Anyway, secretly I am hoping this will also help with sleeping... in the long run. What a day. My baby sits up and eats. Crazy.
